Welcome to our shop. The pieces we make come from the idea that it's nice to have jewellery that's a little different from what's out there already. Having an online shop means you don't have to worry about the hassle of going shopping with all the crowds, too.

Q: What is 14K Gold Filled chain?

A: 14K Gold Filled is a very high quality of gold plating. We use a lot of 14K Gold Filled chain and components in our jewellery designs.

Gold Filled components are made of a base metal (usually brass or copper) covered by sheets of gold in a mechanical bonding process. This produces a thick coat of gold: the gold content is 5% or 1/20 of the total weight. 14k Gold Filled components are hard wearing and last a long time. They are also safe for most people with sensitive skin.

Q: How much is shipping?
We send order via Second Class Mail or Airmail.
Shipping within the UK is £3.00 plus 50p per further item.
All international order shipping is £3.50 plus 50p per further item.

Q: How can I purchase an item?
A: Please click on the 'Add to Cart' button next to the item/s you would like to buy, and follow the instructions at checkout. They will take you to Paypal, where you can pay with your Paypal account. If you do not have a Paypal account, you can enter your card details instead. Just click on the button 'Don't have a Paypal account? No problem, Continue checkout'.

Q: How will my item/s be packaged?
A: Our jewellery will arrive in a gift box tied with a satin ribbon, ready for gift giving.

Q: When will I receive my order?

A: For non-personalised products, we ship within 3 working days of your order being placed. Personalised orders take up to 7 days to be made. Please contact us if you need something urgently and we will do our best to help. mariaallenjewellery@gmail.com

Within the UK you should receive your order within 5-7 business days from placing the order or around 10 days if it is a personalised product. If you would like a more secure method of shipping please add the 'Special Delivery' option to your cart. It is £4.00 on top of your regular shipping but will get to you within 1-2 working days. ARoyal Mail Standard First Class shipping only covers up to a value of £39 so if your order is more than this Special Delivery is advised.

For orders outside the UK we ship by Airmail. Please allow approximately a week for delivery within Europe and up to 2 weeks for the rest of the world. If you would like a more secure method of shipping internationally please add the 'International Signed For' option to your cart.

Q: How should I care for my jewellery?

A: Most of our jewellery is delicate so please take care when you wear the pieces. It is not advisable to get our jewellery wet, to sleep in it or to get perfume or a lot of sunlight into contact with it, as these things may make the metals start to discolour. Some of the pendants are made of brass, so will naturally get a little darker over time. You may like this effect, but if not you can use a little Brasso to make it more shiny.

Also, though we try to make our photography as accurate in colour as possible, please note that colours of the items listed may vary on different computer monitors.

Q: I would like to stock your jewellery in my shop. Do you offer wholesale?
A: Yes. Maria Allen Jewellery is currently stocked in various boutiques both in the UK and internationally. If you are interested in becoming a stockist, please email mariaallenjewellery@gmail.com along with some details about your business, including name, location and a short description, and we will send you our current wholesale information.

Q: Are you taking custom orders?
A: Yes, please email us if you are looking for something that isn't on our website. Custom orders can take up to 4 weeks to make and require payment upfront. Unfortunately they are non-refundable.

Q: Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
A: We hope you love the jewellery we make! But if you have any problems, please let us know as soon as possible. You can send a piece back and exchange it for a new one (we will amend differences in price via a Paypal invoice/refund).

If you are returning a product, it must be in its original packaging, unused and undamaged within 14 days of having received the order. Your Paypal order confirmation will be your receipt. The cost of the item will be refunded minus the shipping fee. Unfortunately for hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned.
